January 2007 Minutes

A regular meeting of the Columbia Riding Club was called to order at 7:10 pm on Monday, January 15, 2007 at Hot Z’s Pizza, Columbia by President Steve Vrabel Seven board members were present.

Officers for 2007 were elected. They are as follows:

President - Mark Anderson

Vice-President - Anita Butler

Secretary - Diane Reese

Treasurer - Pat Hill

Also appointed were:

Show Committee Chair - Heather Anderson

Membership Committee Chair - Diane Reese

Grounds Committee Chair - Dick Getz and Steve Vrabel - Co-Chairs

Ways and Means -

Steve reported that the locks for the clubhouse and garage were changed and board members were given keys. It was decided to purchase new padlocks for all ring gates and for one of the cabinets in the secretary stand.

There was a discussion about memberships. It was decided to keep the rates the same for 2007 and to better describe family memberships on the application due to past problems of family members being too old for family rates.

New President Mark Anderson chaired the remainder. After discussions concerning the horse show books, it was agreed to ask Mary Glazier if the books could be ready no later than March 15 so they can be distributed for the entire season. Pat Hill will check on this.

Wednesday night pleasure shows will be called schooling shows and the rates for all classes till be $5.00.
