The meeting was called to order by acting president, Steve
Vrable, at 7:30 pm at Hot Z Pizza in Columbia. The 2006 CRC Board
Members and its officers are as follows:

Furthermore, the following committee chairmen were
appointed:
- Horse Show Committee: Heather Anderson, Anita Butler
- Membership: Diane Reese, Gail Huber
- Grounds: Dick Getz, Steve Vrable
- Ways and Means: Mary Glazier
- Newsletter: Mary Glazier
Membership Committee
Diane Reese will draft a new welcome letter for paid members. It
will list the benefits members receive for the 2006 show season.
Those include scheduled open ring nights, free or reduced rated for
clinics, reduced entry fees, and an invitation to a year-end awards
banquet.
Grounds
Steve Vrable reported that the clubhouse was recently
vandalized. The redwood picnic tables were damaged, as well as some
screens on the porch, ad the taillights on the water truck. The
most serious damage was the destruction of the block glass window
next to the tractor garage. Mary Frey filed a police report with
West Hempfield Township, and the window has been boarded shut until
it can be permanently bricked off.
Ways and Means
Deb Schuch has volunteered to help Mary Glazier recruit
businesses to advertise in the 2006 horse show program. Several
hundred dollars in advertisements have come in to date. Packets of
information for potential sponsors were given to club members to
distribute. Al ads will be due to Mary Glazier by March 15,
2006.
Horse Show Committee
Tentative dates for the 2006 season were discussed. Revisions
were made to the Sunday and Wednesday Night Pleasure Series. Gail
Huber will contact judges for 2006, and Heather Anderson will
contact Wednesday night reining judges.
Next Meeting
The next board meeting of the Columbia Riding Club will be held
February 6, at 7pm, at Hot Z pizza in Columbia.
