CRC Meetings Minutes: 12/5/05

Board members in attendance: S. Vrabel, P. Hill, G. Huber, H. Anderson, D. Reese, J. Blaxland, A. Butler, M. Glazier, D. Getz. Additionally, eight club members were present.

Secretary Report: Not available

Treasurer Report: Treasurer Pat Hill reported that the expenses for the month were $736.99. Income was $397.90. All bills are paid up to date. The ending balance for the month of November is $3,454.50.

Grounds Committee: Steve Vrabel will investigate shutting off the water in the clubhouse for the winter months, so that the heat can be turned down or even off. Pat Hill will contact the water company to shut off water-at the connection near the road. Discussion ensued about broken pipes in the past due to freezing. System must be drained and a shut-off valve needs to be repaired. Antifreeze must also be put in the toilets.

Ways & Means: Mary Glazier is working on the 2006 show book. Forms for sponsors were included in the most recent mailing. It was suggested that the list of board members be listed in the show book.

Horse Show Committee: Dates for upcoming horse shows were discussed. It was proposed that there be six Wednesday night shows in addition to the Sunday series shows. Three would include gaming, and three would include reining. Championships, paybacks and year end awards were also projected to be included in the 2006 show season. More specific information will be available after the December 12th (7:30) horse show committee meeting to be held at Hot Z's on Columbia Avenue.

Memberships: Membership lists will be posted in the secretary stand for verification during the horse show season. I t was suggested that membership lists be hung in a visible location during horse shows, to encourage others to join.

New Business: Steve Vrabel suggested having clinics and more open ring times available to club members. Clinic themes suggested were: youth, reining, halter, grooming & showmanship, gaming, hunter/jumper.

Club member, Jeff Hyser recommended that the club have a year end awards banquet for 2006. Other members were in favor of this, if the club was not responsible for the cost of the program.

Election Results: Board members elected to a three year term are: Steve Vrabel, Mary Frey, and Dick Getz. The work horse award was given to Terry Vrabel.

Next Meeting: The January organizational meeting will be held on Monday, January 9th at 7:30. The place to be determined at a later date.
