Columbia Riding Club Spring Fun Show And Reining Clinic

1. Entry fee $25.00 per horse for the day for members and $30
for non-members.
2. Gambler’s Choice Trail has a special entry fee of $25 per
entry.
- This will be a timed event. Participants will have 2 minutes to
execute as many obstacles as possible, in any order desired.
- Each obstacle is worth a point value. If the obstacle is
disrupted in any way, point value for that will be zero.
- Obstacles can be approached from either direction, but must be
executed in the correct manner. Example: Walk to the right side of
the pole. Sidepass to the left over the pole. In Gambler’s Coice
Trail, you may approach on either side of the pole, but you MUST
sidepass left.
- Siren will sound with 10 seconds left. Obstacles are counted up
until 0 seconds left.

- There will be a minimum, ten-minute warm-up period between
classes.
- NRHA Reining patterns will be used and will be announced at the
start of the show.
- Green Horse and Green Rider classes are allowed to use one or
two hands, but must use the same number of hands throughout the
class. They are required to do 2 spins in each direction instead of
4, and may choose to perform a simple change instead of a flying
change.
- A Green Horse is defined as any horse starting in the sport of
reining. Said horse cannot have won any money or points in NRHA or
NRCHA, or have earned points in reining or working cowhorse at any
breed show. They also cannot have earned more than 30 points in
SVRA competition.
- A Green Rider is defined as a rider of any age who is beginning
in the sport of reining. The rider cannot have earned any money or
points in NRHA or NRCHA, or have earned points in reining or
working cowhorse at any breed show. They also cannot have earned
more than 100 points in SVRA competition.
